The next stylish and contemporary desk from Italian company Uffix, named Luna, is an interesting concept with futuristic lines and a courageous approach to desk design. Luna is a desk that, due to its design, can be placed in the middle of the room and impress anyone with its design.

Max Ingrand Desk: Desk Modern Steel

Desk design made of stainless steel. Simple desk minimalist style checkers. Suitable to decorate your home interior.


French designer and artist Max Ingrand created this combination of art and functional design back in 1966. Still looking modern, the Max Ingrand Desk consists of a single continuous form bended into a whole seat-inclusive workstation. The stainless steel from which it was made gives it an industrial-chic look and places this desk ahead of its time.

A Look inside the shop

Most of us have cabin fever after being snowed in for days, but here in Tennessee we are (finally) starting venture back out into the light!  For those of you still snowed in, here's a little shopping excursion to my shop, no makeup required!  And locals you can find The Green Room Interiors at Merchants on Main, 607 E Main St. in downtown Chattanooga. Wood Desk by Francois Azambourg

Designer Francois Azambourg created this black-stained solid oak desk with minimalist lines. Beautiful features like the single solid walnut storage niche and the hand-veneered edges of the legs speak about the need to minimize materials while maximizing the design.

Spreadin' the Love

My blog is just about a year old now and I have to say the thing I've enjoyed most about the whole process is connecting with others who share a love of design and beautiful interiors.  But it's not limited to sharing a common interest, I've learned so much from everyone!  It's such a great forum for learning about how others approach design, how you run your businesses and I've even been motivated and inspired by your encouragement!  

So, I'm humbled and honored and thankful to have been nominated for the Stylish Blogger Award from Kathy at My Interior Life and Casey at Loft and Cottage.  Now comes the part where I share 7 things about myself you may not know.

1.  I am married to my high school sweetheart for 25 years this May!  No, every day has not been a walk in the park, but he's my best friend and biggest supporter and I can't imagine my life without him. We share two sweet girls, Alyssa is 18 and Shelby turned 12 on Saturday.

And today (well, 10 months ago, in Nashville)

2.  I am an animal lover and ever since I've been an adult living on my own I've never had less than 3 dogs at one time.   Most all have been rescues and strays, and I have a real soft spot for Basset Hounds, the world's most untrainable breed! I have passed this gene on to  my girls, and we've had horses, dogs, rabbits, snakes, guinea pigs, tree frogs, and the occasional injured bird. 

This is Shelby and I with our latest addition to the family, Ellie

3.  Both sets of my grandparents came to the U.S. right after they got married. My heritage is Italian on my mother's side, and Swedish on my father's side. What does this mean for me?  I'm a pretty good cook and I get sunburned easily!

4.  Levi's are my favorite jeans.

5.  My closets are not neat.

6.  I've always been an entreprenuer.  I have owned my own riding stable, tack store, had a historic home restoration business with my husband. I am now working on building my newest venture, The Green Room Interiors.

7.  I love trees, flowers, birds and all of God's beautiful creations.

Here is a highly practical table design that could be of help when planning a picnic. The Hopper Table and Seat comes from Extremis, a Belgian company specialized in outdoor furniture. It is an original product, with a simple, yet very captivating look. Its uniqueness is given by the fact that the table and the two benches are united, making the product easy to move around. The innovative table was built using highly resistant wood which contrasts pleasantly with the white finish of the metal. We like the overall appearance of the design, as it makes us instantly think at a rich outdoor picnic. Wood Desk Design Wave

Robert Brou, designers and Craftsman, the undulating Wave Desk is created with the help of a new technique of slicing the wood. Two towers of sliced a large poplar wood support surface. Drawers and a pull out work surface built in the design were the resource persons.

Minimalist Desk Design But Versatile

Table design is very simple and minimalist look. But behind this simple table design, there are many drawers. I see the picture below.


This is a special desk - it`s equipped with different sized drawers (from small to A2 format) and a translucent mat surfaced glass desk that keeps your things hidden underneath. Designers from Process created this versatile desk to be used in many situations: it can be a desk or a working station or even a place to keep tools in the garage.

Target and other thoughts

Took a spin through Target last week and was surprised to see they were featuring navy and white. 

I'm normally not drawn to the color navy, but somehow this seemed so attractive to me.  I guess because it reminded me of this
